June Something Questions

Day 6: What's a fandom that you wish had a bigger following?

I'm going to sound like an asshole but I kind of like that the fandoms I'm in at the moment are small. Smaller fandoms have more of a family feel to them. We all know each other and support each other. I'm not saying smaller fandoms are drama free but there is definitely less, and everyone is just so happy for new fanworks that everyone jumps in when something gets posted.

So, yeah, I'm pretty happy with things the way they are, thanks.

But if you want me to talk to you about Guardian or DMBJ I am happy to do so :D

I don't think I ever want to be more than a passive participant in a fandom larger than Guardian.

I think I always need an "anchoring" small fandom to call home, even as I dip my toes in bigger ones.

Smaller fandoms FTW! Definitely not guaranteed drama-free, but not the terrifying chaos that I see in the Big Ones out there.

One of the reasons I've never consumed anything Untamed, despite having friends trying to get me into it since before the live action, is, uh. The fandom.

I have found that I am definitely a small fandom person (or at the moment no fandom person). I just don't have patience for the fandom drama.
