hilsHello new (or possibly old) friend!
I'm pretty new to the Guardian fandom. I only finished watching the show in July this year, but I've honestly been blown away by what a warm and friendly fandom this is. Please know that whatever you decide to create I know I will love it and I thank you for signing up and offering your time.
Here's a few ideas or general ramblings but honestly feel free to go in whatever direction speaks to you.
You'll probably have noticed hurt/comfort is a common trope across all my requests. It really is my fave. I particularly enjoy fics where Zhao Yunlan gets to take care of Shen Wei, since we have so much of the opposite in the show. I just finished reading the novel this week so if you want to go for the novelverse, or include elements from the novelverse that's totally fine.
I'm not massively into porn (I'm ace) but I don't mind sex scenes if it's at the end up a buildup and there's a lot of romance. PWP is not my thing at all.
Mostly I just like to read romance (I also love getting together fics) or hurt/comfort. If you manage both I will offer you my heart :D
OH! And for reasons I'm still figuring out I love Ye Zun redemption fics where he gets love and hugs so if you wanted to do something with that feel free. Mostly I am here for the Weilan, but I'm not adverse to an OT3.
Ah, the show that gave me all the hurt/comfort I could ever possibly want (except I always want more). I'm less fussy about ships in this fandom. If you wanted to write some gen hurt/comfort that would be totally fine. I love the Iron Triangle dynamic but I also love Liu Sang and would love him to get the hugs he never got in the show. If you decide you want to go in a shippy direction I am in favor of Wu Xie/Zhang Qiling, Iron Triangle OT3, Liu Sang/Zhang Qiling, Wu Xie/Liu Sang/Zhang Qiling. Any combo of those characters really.
For me this is all about the pining and falling in love. I'd love to read about Zhu Yilong and Bai Yu falling in love while filming Guardian, or any AU version of them meeting and falling in love. Give me all the romance!
As I mentioned above I'm not wild about PWP, no character death (unless they come back), no non-con, no mpreg, nothing too dark but a bit of angst is fine.
