hilsMovie night ended up being a lot of fun. Bad Boys was just the sort of silliness I needed to unwind with a glass of wine.
Working for a chunk of yesterday has got me all discombobulated though. When I woke up this morning I panicked for a minute thinking I'd overslept and was late for work, until I remembered I was off.
Didn't end up watching any SCI last night in the end because just as I was settling down to watch some before dinner the NHL announced the name of their new team. Ever since the announced that Seattle Kraken was on the shortlist everyone has been hoping and praying that would be the name they picked, because who doesn't love mythical sea monster imagery?
The NHL doesn't exactly have a reputation for doing fun things so we were all expecting to be disappointed. But then this happened
I am absolutely in love with the name and the logo, and they've done a fantastic job of initial marketing. You can buy a selection of Release the Kraken merchandise and for the next few weeks all profits will be donated to homeless youth in Seattle.
After all the upset about the NHL making players return to play in the middle of a pandemic it's nice to have something to be excited about when it comes to hockey.
Planning on having a nice, relaxed afternoon. I've got a pile of long Untamed fics on my Kindle to read, I want to try and watch some more SCI after I didn't watch any yesterday and then I have a weekly Zoom call with some friends this evening.
