01. Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. I don't often go back and re-read books as I have a HUGE to-read pile but I've gone back to this one a few times because I love it.
02. Captain Corelli's Mandolin by Louis De Bernieres. Beautifully written with a clever mix of the humourous, romantic and tragic.
03. We Need To Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver. Even though I will never read this book again it has to be on there just because I don't think I have ever had such a strong emotional reaction to written material. It's fantastically well-written.
04. Lost Souls by Poppy Z. Brite. It's almost cliche to be a fan of vampire fiction in a post-Twilight era but back when I was in my early 20s this was hands down my favourite book.
