SPN musings

hilsYou can tell which episodes of SPN I like best because they get multiple posts of thinkyness between eps. LOL.
So, I've been discussing Changing Channels with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
flickums. I've seen the ep three times since it aired now which is more than any other S5.
First of all with regards to Gabrielflickums had this to say which makes a lot of sense
Thinking about it, I don't think it really goes against what the Trickster does in Tall Tales and Mystery Spot. The Trickster has been pretty much doing what I always expected an archangel to do (smiting the wicked, punishing the sinful - ie the adulterous professor, the abusive husband, the cynical athiest etc - he just made sure he got a bit of a giggle out of it)
I also had my own thoughts about the episode.
What I do find interesting is that when Dean asks Gabriel (before he's revealed as Gabriel) whose side he's on Gabriel says no ones and that he just wants the war to be over. However, if you look at the nut cracker scene again both of the questions the boys get asked are worded in a very anti-Sam and therefore anti-Lucifer way. I'll be very surprised if Gabriel doesn't show up again before the end to fight on the boys side. Similarly I reckon Jesse will be back before the end too to fight on Sam and Dean's side.
