As soon as I finished my last entry my interview confirmation came through. It's scheduled to last for an hour, which is the longest I've ever been in an interview for.
Am slightly concerned that one of the 'essential' skills they've listed on the job description is safety testing equipment, which I have never done. Other than that it's all pretty much what I do now.
Will have to do a bit of prep work tomorrow but I have to say I'm not going to be crushed if I don't get this. I'm doing it for the interview practise more than anything.
My current plan is to stick my current job out until the end and take the redundancy money. It's a lot. If I buy a car and move to a flat/house that has parking I should still be able to put 10K in the bank, which will see me through the time it takes to find a new job. And that's if I leave in August next year. It'll almost certainly get extended again from what people are saying.
