PC World are notorious for being shit. Yet I bought my laptop from them anyway because it was cheap.

Having asked around and done some research it seems that all PC World will do is send it back to the manufacturor to replace the hard drive. They won't give me a refund or let me exchange the laptop because I've had it for more than a month.

They say repairs can take up to 6 months.

Buggered if I'm going without my laptop for 6 months! I'll just do regular backups and when it eventually dies for good I'll get a new one, not from PC World, and one that's a decent brand.

[livejournal.com profile] kazzy_cee recommended her Sony laptop and now I work for Fujitsu I might be able to get a discount if I buy one of theirs.
