I got a letter from my banks fraud prevention team today asking me to call them. Seems they put a marker on my card after I bought my plane tickets, which is why my card was declined on Saturday.

Answered a load of security questions and confirmed all the transactions were mine and all is good now

Slightly annoying but at least they're security conscious :)
