Good and Bad

hilsToday has been a mixture of good and bad. Mostly good I guess but you know how I like to linger on the bad
The Good
I've been recommended for a bonus. I'm not sure I deserve one given I've only been in my new job for 3 months but my boss seems pretty pleased with me so I guess I must be doing something right. Won't know whether I'm actually getting one for another couple of weeks but it's nice to be recommended
My Collectormania tickets have arrived. A week on Saturday I will be meeting James, Anthony and Brandon *squee!*

richess has got back in touch and has told me I can stay with her pretty much whenever I want, so I just need to get the cash together for my plane tickets
The Bad
My boss's boss is less pleased with me (and Greg) than my boss is. Apparently getting my work done is not good enough and I need to be more 'showy'. My boss didn't seem to really know what this meant but was talking about putting things on boards in the office and stuff like that. Things that will let the big boss see that I am doing stuff and not just sitting around getting on with it. Had a chat with Dave and Greg about this and they both agreed it was bull. We get the work done in an efficient way and doing showy stuff is just going to take us away from doing our actual work.
Work has cocked up the money I should have received to pay for my hotel and on top of that the computer system has been down all day today so I haven't been able to sort it or claim back my expenses.flickums, it's looking unlikely I will make it to Sheffield this weekend
