Books I've read this year
Feb. 8th, 2007 12:44 pm1. The Odyssey - Homer
2. Smallville: The Comics - Misc
3. The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray - Chris Wooding
4. Lex Luthor: Man of Steel - Brian Azzarello & Lee Bremejo
I wasn't actually intending to read the Lex comic just yet.
goth_clark recommended it a few weeks ago so I added it to my wishlist. Then yesterday Greg said he'd borrowed it from the library and asked if I wanted to read it before he took it back. So I read it in my lunch break. LOL
I loved it! The artwork was really striking and that isn't normally the sort of thing I notice. I really like AU comics that give a different twist to the usual story. I think that's why I liked Red Son so much. This was a really interesting Superman story told from Lex's point of view and I found it fascinating. Lex is so much more than a supervillain in this. We get to see why he's so determined to beat Superman. I would definitely recommend it!
Also, Lex and Bruce are totally doing it in this comic ;)
