Fannish stuff

hilsJacqui met Billy tonight. I'm surprised I couldn't hear the squee from here. LOL
It's funny, but we were talking last night and there really isn't one person I'm desperate to meet now. Realistically I'm never going to meet any of my top 5 celebs because they're all too famous
I'd quite like to meet Jamie and some of the other BSG cast but I'm not desperate or anything. Same with the cast of Firefly. In fact I haven't felt really fannish about anything for ages. Can't remember the last time I read a fanfic story, it's been even longer since I wrote anything other than the odd drabble
Maybe I'm broken...
Does anyone know of any UK based sci-fi/fantasy conventions that are decent? I was kind of counting on going to Collectormania in October but it clashes with my holiday so that won't be happening. I would like to go to some sort of event this year
