Ok, so when I sorted out my finances last month I got my new card within a week but none of the accompanying paperwork. I went into my branch on the 23rd Dec and did the telephone banking malarky. They told me someone in the branch could give me what I needed. Branch said I had to wait for it to come in the mail and to come back if nothing had arrived by the 29th. Was in Germany on the 29th but there was still nothing when I got back. Went into the branch today and did the telephone banking thing again. Was given a number and told to ring a different department. Telephone wouldn't let me ring the number. Came home and used me own phone. Was told that due to a 'technical problem' the forms had been prepared but not sent to me. They'd be sent today and be with me by the 12th. Problem is I have £6 in my purse and no food in the house. Have no money until I get the forms. Ranted. Was told 'oh, we've extended your overdraft by £250 but you can only withdraw over the counter.' WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME THAT BEFORE???
