A question about Lost

Ok, remember last week when Sawyer collapsed in the jungle? Someone suggested they rest there for a while and Ana's response was something along the lines of 'Rest? Here? Are you insane? You know what's out there. Remember what happened to Goodwin?'

Obviously the implication at the time was that The Others had killed Goodwin in some horrible way. Well, since we now know that Ana killed Goodwin because he wasone of The Others what she said earlier doesn't really make sense. Was the threatening to do to them what she did to Goodwin?
