hilsYou wanted Buffy getting Spike to drink from her
He was dying. Again. His already pale flesh had taken on a grey hue which reminded her of ash, and ash was the last thing she wanted to think about right now. The demon had come from nowhere, taking them both by surprise and managing to tear his claws into Spike several times before Buffy had managed to kill it. Now Spike was lying in a pool of his own blood, they were in the middle of nowhere and he was slowly bleeding to death.
"Spike?" She'd tried to rouse him several time but he was unconscious, making the steady journey towards the end of his existence.
"Spike, don't you dare leave me. You hear me?" She shook him hard just to make sure, but got no response.
There had to be a way to save him. She'd saved vampires before, she just needed to think. But time was running out for him and she had to act now. All she had was the stake she always carried with her and that certainly wasn't going to be any use to a dying vampire.
Unless....
She moved the stake to her wrist, hoping it would be sharp enough to draw blood.
Thankfully it had been freshly whittled that day and it didn't take much effort to break the skin. Forcing Spike's mouth open she held the wound above it and allowed her blood to drip in. For a moment she didn't think he was going to swallow it, but then the demon's craving for survival kicked in and he gulped.
A moment later his eyes shot open.
"You need more," Buffy said, moving her wrist to his lips but Spike turned his head away.
"Can't...don't deserve..."
"Yes, you do." Buffy replied firmly. "I'd give my blood to anyone that I love."
Spike didn't have time to register surprise at her words before Buffy pressed the wound to his lips once more
