Suggestions?

hilsMy mobile phone (Motorola V220 Orange Network) has suddenly decided not to recieve any text messages. I can send them fine but I'm not getting any replies. It also switches itself off when I try to use it to check my yahoo e mail
I have tried
1. Switching it off and switching it back on again
2. Clearing out my inbox and outbox
3. Taking out the SIM card and putting it back in
Nothing seems to be working. Any ideas? I won't be able to take it to the Orange shop until some time next week :(
