Just watched a 2 hour documentary on 'The Real Da Vinci Code'. Most of the stuff I already knew from when I wrote my dissertation on Grail Lore but it was still an interesting programme. I should probably read the book now. I find the subject really interesting.
The stuff about Da Vinci was new to me. I honestly don't see how anyone can deny that the figure in The Last Supper is anything but a woman. And something I didn't know which Jacqui told me. Mary Magdelene went to Jesus's grave to annoint his body and that's when she discovered the stone rolled away. Apparently only wives were allowed to annoint the dead. Veeery interesting.
There's so much mystery surrounding the grail that we're never really going to get to the bottom of it. The church wouldn't allow it for a start. Still, interesting subject as I said.
