danaid_luv has suggested I turn it into a meme. Well, I have nothing better to do so here we go
Pick between 5 and 10 of your favourite actors/actresses and tell us how you came to love them. Was it a specific role or did you just see a picture one day and think 'ooh, s/he is hot'. Share your stories :)
Ok, these are just in the order I think of them rather than preference
1. Jack Davenport
I remember that day, back in 2003. I'd just been to see PotC for the first time and my friend Matthew (yes, this is YOUR fault) said I should watch this show called Ultraviolet. It's about vampires AND has Jack Davenport in it. So, mildly intrigued, I popped into HMV and it just happened to be on sale for £12 on DVD. I bought it, watched it, and about halfway through episode one I was practically salivating
THAT is how I came to love Jack Davenport
2. Johnny Depp
This one is a little harder to define. Johnny is the only actor I fancied as a hormonal teenager that I still have a massive crush on now. I think the first film I saw him in was Edward Scissorhands, which I still adore to this day but it's not one of those films where you think the actor is hot. The make up and the cuts are cute but not sexy. It was probably What's Eating Gilbert Grape. Not his most well known film and not his best performance but I just loved him with the long hair. Sleepy Hollow was the next one that stood out for me. I loved the film and thought Johnny was wonderful in it. I went to see it twice at the cinema I think. Pirates of the Caribbean came next and that sealed him in my number one spot as favourite actor
3. James Marsters
Spike. That's all I need to say really. I have to admit I didn't really fancy Spike at first. I thought he was cool of course but it wasn't until Season 4 that I sae beyond the cool villain. It was when I saw Something Blue that I realised that Spike and Buffy HAD to be together than then my website was born and my first entrance into fandom occured. I owe James a lot for without him I wouldn't have met all my fab online friends
4. John Cusack
Bit of a weird one here. I fell in love with John's voice before I even knew what he looked like. I first came across him, believe it or not, when I watched the animated film Anastasia. There was something vaguely familiar about the voice of Dimitri so I checked the credits and saw he was voiced by John Cusack. Looked him up on IMBD and decided to slowly make my way through some of his other films. Once I'd seen The Sure Thing, Grosse Pointe Blank and Say Anything I was totally in love. How could you not be. He's just so cute!
5. Joaquin Phoenix
Another one that I can specifically remember. I'd seen Joaquin in Gladiator but I didn't really think much of it. It was when I saw The Village that he totally blew me away. Dude, this guy can ACT and he's totally hot. LOL. But that was the interesting thing about The Village, he didn't look that great in it but I still loved him. Now Gladiator is hot. LOL.
6. Eric Bana
One word. Troy. Guh! How is a girl supposed to concentrate on a film when Eric Bana AND Brad Pitt are running around half naked and all oily? I was so impressed by this that I actually forced myself to go back and watch Hulk again, even though it sucks big time!
7. Brad Pitt
Interview With A Vampire. He's so pretty! Plus see comments above about Troy
8. Stuart Townsend
Why oh why do they keep putting this beautiful man in such crap films?? Queen of the Damned? League of Extrodinary Gentlemen? Both of them have Stuart looking stunning but the films suck! Give him something good to do! Please!
