hilsToday has been totally craptastic and it's only lunchtime
1. When I suggested that we have a Halloween Party at work I had no idea it was going to cause me this much stress. The staff all seemed really keen on it but the Social Club said they didn't have time to organise it and the Christmas Party. Whatever. Anyway, I argued and argued until they eventually said we could have one on the proviso that they didn't have to do any of the organising. It was pretty much left up to me. I worked hard, put a lot of effort into it and now, a week before Halloween it looks like it's going to be cancelled. 45 people signed up for it when I was guaging interest but when I came round to collect deposits from people suddenly loads of people decided they couldn't come. The numbers have dropped from 46 to 23. We can't really afford to do it now without raising the price for those who can make it. I have to go to a meeting on Friday to discuss options
2. I put myself forward to be the Staff Rep at the management meetings, after the management encouraged me to do so. Three other people put their names forward and it was then up to the staff to vote for who they wanted. I didn't even come second. Either people hate me, I was doing a really bad job or both
I don't want to go back to work. I want to crawl into bed and eat chocolate
