Harry Potter and stuff
Jun. 5th, 2004 09:37 amWell, our deposit and reference forms are with the Estate Agent. I reckon we'll be able to pick up the keys in about a week. Then I just need to sort out a date for my dad to come and help me move and that will be it. WHEE!!
Saw Prizoner of Azkaban last night. Hils liked!!!
I've managed to catch a cold from
jazz_police so I'm feeling pretty crappy at the moment. Meh
Anyway, here are my thoughts on HP. Just to warn you, I make reference to some of the plot in Book 5, including a major spoiler for those who haven't read it.
Remus Lupin has always been my favourite of the Marauders and he still is. I still maintain feeling very little sadness for when Sirius dies in Order of the Phoenix.
The film, however, was FAB. The kids have apparently been told to tone down their stage school style acting and it's a lot more subtle in this film. And by subtle I mean better. Daniel Radcliffe was excellent as Harry, Ron was pretty much as he should be. Hermione acted great but my only problem is that's she'd possible a little too pretty. As far as I can tell from the books she's supposed to be fairly plain with frizzy hair and that didn't really come across
I'm starting to warm to Snape a little. He's still greasy and ikky but I dunno, I liked him a bit more in this film.
Buckbeak was SOOOO cute. I want a Hippogriff!
I'm sure there's a lot of stuff I didn't spot, but it's been a LONG time since I read the book.
I'll finish off with this summery
Prisoner of Azkaban = VERY good!
