hilsYesterday was the suckiest day to suck beyond sucking. Had the news about my mum, went into town in the cold and rain to pick up Dave's Christmas present only to be told they'd had some problems with it and that it won't be ready until Tuesday (by which time I'll be back at my parents). jacqui_hw at the station. We managed to get a taxi pretty quicky but when we got dropped off at my house and I tried to pay with a £10 note I was told it was an old one that had expired. Panicked, had to borrow some money from Jacqui and pay with all the change in my purse.
Got in the house and compared my note with one of Jacqui's. They were identical, the taxi driver had been mistaken. GRRR!!!! THEN I realised I'd left my gloves in the taxi and I had to go food shopping in the cold and the rain with bare hands. I can't even afford to buy any new ones as my loan won't be through until Tuesday at the earliest. GRR.
Went to see RotK after that. It was good, not the life altering film that some people have claimed it to be (in my opinion) but most enjoyable.
Came home and cooked dinner. Got VERY stressed as I often do when in the kitchen, managed to slightly burn the cheese sauce for the lasagne and felt like crying again.
Still, after that it was good. We all snuggled on the sofa (well me and Dave snuggled on one and jacqui lounged on the other) and watched Christmas films. It was nice.
Not going to leave the house today apart from to take Jacqui to the station so assuming I don't burn lunch I don't think anything can go wrong
