hilsToday has been pretty high ranking in the 'worst day ever' category. Woke up this morning having sweated half my body weight away during the night. Had a shower and felt marginally better. Looked outside to see it was raining and rejoiced after the stifling heat wave of yesterday.
Hils' Brain: Better take your coat if it's raining.
Weather: MWAHAHAHAHA. Now that you've put your coat on I shall wait until you're halfway to work before stopping the rain and resuming the blistering heat.
Got to work feeling no better than I did when I'd crawled out of bed.
The pay saga continues. After numerous meetings with various different boards, Personnel decided that all the temps who have been offered permanent positions need to write a letter with examples of their experience in order to justify getting a higher starting pay. Why they couldn't have just said this a month ago is beyond me. Somehow throughout this whole saga I have been delegated the leadership position. Every time there's an update on the situation I get told and then have to go and tell everyone else. Have spent most of today running up and down the corridor and phoning people to tell them what's going on.
Weather remained hot all day which didn't make all this running around any easier. Then I had to spend an hour in the smallest office in the building which of course heats up like an oven as it's full of computers and only has one window. Felt like I was going to die at one point.

flickums to go and see Minority Report but we had to cancel owing to bad weather. It was still stiflind hot here, but seemed to be raining everywhere else.
Trundled home and on the way had this guy expose himself to me. Luckily he wasn't too close and seemed more occupied with fondling himself than with atually caring who could see. Nevertheless I could have done without seeing it.
Came home and made myself feel better by killing things on my Playstation
