hilsHave come to the conclusion that I need to focus on a career. I'm now 8 months out of university, I have a resonably graded degree and look at where I am. I'm doing a job that a 16 year old school leaver could do. I could apply for a graduate fastrack scheme but that would involve moving to London and being prepared to move house every 6 months. As sad as it may be I want to settle down.
Decided on a whim to take a job test to see what people think I should be doing. Here were the results

Ok, author I expected, maybe not at the top but certainly in the top 5. Now, most people who know me will be aware that I adore writing more than anything else. Unfortunatley I'm crippled by the fact that I'm not very good at it. I can churn out some average material, but nothing that screams 'publish me'. Even if I did write a novel, all my ideas are focused on vampire lore which is a very narrow field even if what I wrote was any good. Plus people are getting tired of it, Anne Rice has written one to many novel as far as the majority of the public is converned.
So where does that leave me? Up the creek really. I need to think of something I will enjoy and that will pay enough so that I can move out of the hell-hole that is my parents house and into my own place.
It's time for some serious thinking *sigh*
