Sidney’s wedding day doesn’t go quite as he’d planned. When he’d bothered to imagine it at all, he’d thought of a nice June wedding in Nova Scotia, outdoors with the sun streaming down. He hadn’t imagined this hurried affair on the tarmac on a rainy and unseasonably cool day in early September, a month after his twenty-fifth birthday.
I actually read most of this ages ago but for some reason I didn’t rec it. So good!

Sidney’s backseat and trunk is full of hastily-packed boxes, suitcases, books and hockey gear.
“You live in truck?” Geno asks, and he sees Kuni waving him off way too late.

Zhenya’s brain fritzes out for a second. “Sorry?” he asks, thinking he’s misheard.
Years of pining can do that to a person -- make you believe that the object of your affections wants something more than they really do. Sid’s gone bright pink and is staring at the floor, so maybe it’s not pining-induced insanity. Sanja will be pleased.

In this rewriting of history, Sid gets an experimental treatment for his concussion that has some rather unusual side effects. Geno helps him out. There are complications.
I am amazed but also not amazed that a sex pollen fic exists in this fandom
How Sweet It Is by vlieger
The first time Sid gets a picture of a cake from an unfamiliar number, he assumes it's a mistake.
This is so sweet! Pun not intended!
Icy With A Chance of Romance by sirona
In which a graduate student from Russia and a Cole Harbour native have a meet-cute in the midst of terrible Nova Scotia winter weather - a Canadian shack fic.
So sweet!
