I was going to to do an epic, ranty post about how sick I am of everyone complaining about SPN and fighting amongst themselves. Then I realised that complaining about everyone else complaining was pointless and not very productive so I bring this instead. Anything goes here. Post fic, fic prompts, screencaps, art, icons, gifs. Basically anything SPN related so long as it's something that makes you happy and that you think might cheer people up.

Date: 2011-10-04 01:06 am (UTC)But it's better than being a whiny bitch about the pain, Bobby has to give him that. And Bobby knows that's the kind of pain under which being a whiny bitch is pretty much justified.
As for Sam, Sam's doing physically pretty well. Bobby supposes it all evens out, considering Sam's trauma in the noggin. He has nightmares sometimes that have him screaming to scare the devil himself. (To coin a phrase.) But when he's up, he's good, and he keeps on that brave face of his as long as he can muster. And when he can't... well, good thing about Sam is, Sam believes in talking. Talking till he's put Bobby to sleep sometimes, but talking nonetheless. And in his case, that's a good thing.
There's a night when Bobby comes home after a late run to the pharmacy (and maybe he stopped over Jody Mills' place, just to see how she's doing, just for a few minutes) and finds Dean and Sam asleep on the couch while the TV flickers washed-out images from some unfunny talk show. Dean's head's tipped back, and he's snoring directly upward to high heaven, and Sam's slumped against his brother's shoulder, lips pursed, chest rising and falling in the rare moment of dreamless sleep. It reminds Bobby of a night years ago, one he'd almost forgot, when the boys'd come down with the flu and John had to leave on a hunt. Bobby'd taken care of them then, too, and what's more, they'd taken care of each other. Dean gave Sam the blanket, even when his teeth were chattering. Sam saw the lack of cough syrup in the bottle and said his throat was fine, even though he sounded like a chain-smoking frog. Bobby remembered being kind of proud of them then.
And if you pushed him, he'd probably admit that yeah, in spite of everything, he's pretty damn proud of them right now, too.
