This is not a complaint but a sincere question. I have seen this on several sites of where people offered icons to others. This is new to me as a concept. I have seen complicated icons in other fandoms where people have said: "if you use this please credit me." I completely understand and accept that. But I don't understand the logic of "blank icons are not bases." (I am sure almost everyone else does, because I have seen it repeated again and again.) I have various crops of screen caps that greatly resemble several of your icons. Are you somehow claiming copyright because you've posted yours first? (Note how much my Arthur icon above resembles your "ultimate killing machine icon.")
Truly not intending to be at all argumentative, just asking. It is clearly considered an acceptable request in this fandom, because I have seen it again and again, and no doubt one that others understand. But I am not familiar with it. I know a lot of artists, some are liberal about their work being used for small icons, others are very touchy. I consider all of our icons made from screencaps we have made or borrowed to exist in a grey area as far as legal rights. Unless, of course, they are wildly original or unique in some way.
Meanwhile, I certainly will not use or abuse any of yours in respect of your request.

I'm now struck by the unfortunate image of Morgana deciding it would make this wonderful cape as Merlin and Arthur desperately try to dissuade her, because sex toys aren't suitable garments for day wear really, and then being hideously distracted when she wears it. And probably shooting themselves in their own feet, pouring wine all over the table etc, because Morgana is wearing something they had sex on.
Sometimes my own brain just decides it hates me.
