This may, in fact, be a silly question but when does that ever stop me. If I wanted to make a fanmix how do I go about doing that? Are there tutorials or anything? Or is it really easy and I'm just being a thicky?

Watched Jonathan Creek tonight. T'was good.

Um, well the way I've done it in the past is think of songs that fit with your idea for the fanmix, then make a new folder on your desktop (or in your music folder) drag and drop the relevant tracks over, make some artwork for it, zip the folder and upload...

Of course, there may be another way to do it that I've completely missed lol.

*hugs*

And it was good, wasn't it?

How does the artwork thing work? I mean how to I get it to show up for each track if people put the fanmix on their iPod?

I couldn't get over that woman from The IT Crowd being Jonathan's girlfried, or the rival detective being that girl from Two Pints of Lager. LOL!

Hmm. That's one thing I haven't found out. In some fanmixes it's worked, and in others, it hasn't. (this is in ones I've downloaded - I'm not sure it's ever worked in mine...)

And yes! But I think the dynamic worked...But I agree - and what WAS she wearing in some of those scenes?!

Ah well, I shall play around and see what happens

Yes, the clothes were dubious on occasions. LOL!

I usually create a new folder and copy&paste the music files into it. And, since I like my fanmixes nice and tidy, I open Photoshop, make a fanzy cover and the go to iTunes and rename the music files and put the new fanzy cover in, and then I make a zip file and upload everything, and wait for people to worship me because I'm incredibly awesome.
Okay, the later never works, but at least the music mix is cool .*lol*

What other people have said is generally how you do it.
Personally, I use my itunes. I just make a new playlist and drag the songs I want into it.
With the artwork, I suppose you could use any art program you have. I use Photoshop. Just manip, copy, paste and add all the text you want.

I've found that a good size for the covers is 750 pixels by 750 pixels in height & width with a 72 pixel/inch resolution. That size also fits the itunes artwork thingy that goes with the song. Am I making sense?
Anyway, good luck! :)

Oh, that was going to be my next question: what size the artwork should be. Brilliant. Thanks!
