Well, I'd intended this as a post-episode support post but I'm not sure that's really needed. So let's call it a celebration of an awesome series post instead.

How is everyone feeling today? Let's talk about the episode. Anyone disappointed with what happened? Anything you would have done differently? What was your favourite scene?

How do you feel about the series as a whole? Favourite episode? Favourite scene? Things you didn't like?

I have plot bunnies on offer here

And I promised caps of my Sims wedding. They can be found here

I guess all there is to do now is thank everyone who has participated in these posts. I had a lot of fun doing them and made lots of new friends too. I'll probably do this again in the few days leading into the start of series 2

Don't be a stranger :)

Having never contributed to one of these posts before I feel like I should say "Hi!" first. So, hi!

About the episode, I think I just have to quote Doctor Who and say "Everybody lives!"

=D

Hi!

Hee! Yes, that quote was the first thing that popped into my head after the episode ended. I am happy!

You shouldn't ask questions like that around me. But it's Christmas so I'll be charitable and shut my gob. :D

Normal service to resume in the new year, of course.

Hehe! Well, I think that's the best Christmas present I'm going to get ;)

Actually I was kind of disappointed the way it ended. It's brilliant finish but ohmygod it really helps to lead to the next season.

I really wonder what would happen between Merlin and the Dragon. I got a feeling he would see the creature again.

I could've done with moar Merlin/Arthur togetherness, but we'll have plenty of time for that next season. Also, disposing of Nimue so early on means they're going to have to roll out a new villain, or bring her back, or do something.

Anyway. I said all along there was nothing to worry about. *is smug*

I can see why they didn't end it on a cliffhanger though. They weren't sure if there was going to be a series 2 until very recently so they obviously wanted to wrap Season 1 in case that was it

I'm sure there will be LOTS more Slash Dragon next year

My money is on Morgana going darkside next year

And thank you for your smugness. I should have listened. LOL!

I'm pleased everyone lived, I'm not sure how I would have felt if anyone hadn't survived.

I'm a huge ASH fan, have been for years and I make no secret of that fact ;) seeing him portraying an almost grieving father was simply awesome, the tears, etc. I've always said that ASH is at his best when portraying angst and I think he surpassed my expectations with his scenes last night.

Hmmm, favourite eps, well ... 9, 12 and 13. I guess I would have liked more of the Arthurian legend, but as a purely fantasy show and something I could watch whilst my ten year old daughter watched The X Factor, this series was always going to be made of win. :)

Oh, I love ASH to bits. Have done ever since Buffy. I think his ability to do angst is a testament to his acting skills because he's SO funny in real life. I've met him a few times now.

I really enjoyed this episode. I managed to keep myself unspoilered, even as I needed to dld the episode and I took ages.
So, when finally ended and everybody was alive I was glowing with insanely glee :)
What I liked the most in this episode is how willing is everybody to die for the other. Merlin for Arthur and his mom, Gaius for Merlin, and sure like Hell Uther was willing to gave up his life if that brought Arthur back!
I've always been a fan of ASH, but his scene carrying Arthur? It was magnificent. I loved him to pieces right there, and he broke my hear in a zillion of little tiny pieces.
And even as I'm a hardcore Merlin/Arthur shipper, I adore Gwen little speech. Her faith in Arthur is amazing.
The Slash Dragon showing his hidden agenda to Merlin was a really surprising turn in the story, and I foresee a lot of troubles coming from this.
I believe this was Morgana was trying to warn Merlin of. I'm not sure about her going dark, but she surely is a gray character. And I love gray characters!
Now the first season has ended, I trustfully said I'm really happy with it. I like how they play with Arthurian Legend's less know aspects, which allow them to play with our expectations. But I can't pick just one episode as a favorite. I loved all of them. I kept half-expecting to be disappointed by show, as I has been for almost every show I felt in love with. But this one? This one is still my shinny, loved show :)

I was disappointed Merlin killed (insert name I can't spell here but Michelle Ryan's character you know) because I thought he was going to have the no killing rule like Superman. Still he managed the Superman-esque "Nooooo" quite well. I'm glad the dragon was pissed off at the end. Yeah in general I thought it was pretty good.

Well, he's already killed bad guys in previous episodes so the no killing rule went out the window weeks ago. LOL

I think we established the great deal of squee-ness that took place in my house whilst watching the finale. Still would have liked a hug at least :(

The Moment of Truth remains my favourite episode (more slash than you can shake a stick at! And Chris from Skins...woot!)

And thanks to you for having these lovely support threads so I can see other people going as insanely squee-y as I have been!!!!!!

Oh, I loved him in Buffy and those coffee ads. ;)

I totally agree with you on his acting abilities. I've met him a few times too and he really is as lovely in person as he appears in interviews.

It's a difficult choice...but I'd stick with episode 10. It was the one that kick started my fic writing again so it's pretty special to me :)

Hmm...Gates of Avalon was the one that got me to write my first Merlin fic but I don't think it's my favourite

I still have a strong love for The Poisoned Chalice, Lancelot and The Moment of Truth but I don't think I could choose between those three...

Love them all! Oh the choices!!!
My brother stole and watched my Merlin DVD and he says that every time I came in the room I'd go "I love this episode." To every single one of them.
