I know I'm probably the only one on my flist who blindly loves this show but I really do. I was so tense when Peter faced off against his dad I was actually shouting at the computer. LOL!

I can't quite work out what's going on with Sylar, in a very superficial way I mean. I've been lusting after him like crazy this year but he was just not looking attractive today. I put it down to him being evil again, but then when he turned up and killed Arthur he was looking all hot again.

I told [livejournal.com profile] lex_a_like that there needed to be a mathematical formula for how Sylar's hotness equates to his evilness (or lack thereof)

This is what he came up with

Where (S) is Sylar, and (H) is hotness, and (E) is evil

(E) > (E) = (S) / (H)

Actually it should be (E)2 > (E) - so when an evil deed is greater than evil squared, Sylar is divided by hotness - implying the inverse that (E)2 < (E) = (S) X ( H ) - Sylar is hotter the less evil he gets.

Yes, this is the sort of stuff fandom geeks come up with.

I liked the time travel stuff. Hiro meeting his mother and Claire meeting a younger version of her father was incredibly cute.

I liked that Mr Isaac left one final comic before going to Camelot ;)

Peter spent most of this being emo, but he was quite cool at the end.

Nathan has now joined forces with Mohinder which maked dumbass squared I think. I just want to slap them both.

Did I miss anyone?

I have now seen to this problem and watched it and I agree with you about Sylar...

Also I figure I've watched that episode of Doctor Who with Ecclestone when they go back and Rose meets her father too much, as when Claire was reaching out for Baby Claire I was sitting yelling at my computer, "PARADOX! PARADOX! DON'T TOUCH THE BABY! DON'T TOUCH THE BABY!!"

I have become oddly obsessed with his eyebrows. So the icon was very distracting...

That was an awesome episode. You're right, Sylar isn't as hot when he's being evil, but he was in many ways even more awesome, for instance "Cake?".

Interestingly, he's more developed now, he was a good guy, he learned empathy, and how to take powers that way - wonder how that's going to affect him.

Also, is Peter going to get his powers back - he's earned them, I mean he fought a South American guerilla army, was willing to kill his father, earned Nathan's respect.

Hiro became awesome, both prior to getting his powers, then more awesome after. It's sad that Arthur took the light - but I can't actually cover the light business without my head exploding. Maybe tomorrow.

Oh, and Arthur Petrelli's not dead - he's now a twenty something American Marine, with super strength, and I suspect no other powers. However, he might accept that trade of, for the youth factor. The light gave him a get out of free card, it was healing energy, and as he died, the light healed him into the nearest recepticle, someone who'd had the formula.

No more light though, the catalyst is gone, which means what's in that container is the the only formula that will ever exist, unless they find another healer like Hiro's mother. Could Mohinder now make one, if they can design powers?

Yes, Mohinders a dumbass, but he's had an excuse this season, after he injected himself with an unstable formula, he's been on desperation street.

Nathan doesn't have that excuse, he honestly believes everyone should know, and everyone should have powers - with little regard to the consequences. I think it's his way of coming to terms with the fact his parents didn't love him, and wanted him as a tool, so gave him the formula when he was a baby.

Claire with her dad was awesome - and didn't he look different? I know it could just be lack of horned rimmed glasses, but he seemed kind of chubby - which may be the stuff they've used to get rid of the wrinkles, and give him a bit smoother skin - but it really gives credance to the concept of it being 16 years ago.

We were all caught in the trap of thinking that Sylar is going to be a good guy, but we forgot one thing. Sylar was a good guy in the future, with a kid - but knowledge of that only serves to change the future. Angela hammered home that message again and again to future Peter after all. Which also means Claire might not become the killer we think she will be.

Then again, she may yet still. I think that future was a future after Claire hadn't been given the catalyst - since she was alive and people had powers. If Arthur had taken her power for the formula, then all she wouldn't be doing what she was doing. So right now, the future is on course - except for the hitch about Arthur Petrelli being dead, yet alive in the future. I think the whole he's the trooper now covers that, especially if he gets Mohinder to whip him up a batch of power taking abilities, and loads in some psychic stuff, he can look and feel like his normal self again - but still have the body of a 20 something beneath.

In Heroes, the altruism : What doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger - can really suck and come back and bite you in the arse. Time and time again - swords, nuclear explosions, bullets, falls, having your brain cut open.

People really have to learn to kill what they wound in this program, no wonder the future's always so fucked up lol.

Remind me tomorrow, I really need to do a Heroes post

Yes, after a whole season of being massively bored of Hiro he is back to being awesome again. YAY!

Wow - great take on the future of Heroes. *grin*

And I loved Sylar and "Cake?" Best line ever - followed closely by "Huh, it does kind of tingle."
I need a "Cake?" icon...

I'm still a bit disappointed that they killed Elle. I mean first - I love Kristen Bell - but secondly, it seemed like there was so much more they could do with that character. Who knows, maybe she'll return at some point too for some flashback stuff. :)
