What d'you mean: there's an 8th season of Smallville? The show ended after season 7. MR's contract is over. The man got hair again, and without him there's no Smallville anymore.

I also miss Olli and Lois. They really were cute.

Tom is looking very hot and Justin is just as cute as ever. I'm not not quite sure what's going on there since I'm not doing spoilers, but it looks like an exciting episode going by that short clip.

Despite the lack of Clex, I think you should at least wait to see what other people say about the first couple before you finally decide one way or another...

ETA: But then again, I'm in for the long haul. As long as Tom is in it, I'll be watching, so I may not be the best person to ask since I'm also generally far more positive than most people about the show.

I don't know for sure, of course, but I think what I've heard is sounding better than the show had been for years.

Personally, I think Al & Miles should have left years ago. There'd been talk that Tom hadn't been happy with the direction of his character, or the show, the last couple of years. With them gone, that just might not be a problem anymore.

I'm hopeful anyway. I'll still watch if the show stinks, but only because of Tom, although I may fast forward through the whatever parts of the episodes he isn't in.
