I shouldn't laugh but the guy who was winding me up about the lights this morning just filled the car with petrol instead of diesel.

Now THAT is a serious mistake! It's usually very well marked on the intake what you should use, but I guess for me who drives new cars all the time, it is very obvious to check these things first. I can't remember if it is petrol for diesel or diesel for petrol that is worst, but its really not something you should do anyway.

No, it's had to be taken to a garage to be fixed. Makes my error seem very minor anyway

Although that's a hell of a pricey fix so he must have had some bad karma following him around.

(I know, I'm mean - but really - how dare he give you crap about leaving the lights on... half the cars now days have lights that go off automatically!)

Yeah, I think work is going to pay for the fix. I'd have felt bad if it has come out of his own pocket
