[Poll #1225782]

I fully expect DC to win owing to all the SV fans on my flist but we shall see.

The character question will be more interesting.

I'll post results on Monday

D'uh... Of course you'd probably guess my anwers.

So Batman/Superman slash is a win/win scenario for you then? ;)

I almost went with Batman/DC. This was tough because most of my superhero love comes from the cartoons I watched as a kid rather than comics.

Oh, me too! The first comic I read was only a couple of years ago. I grew up watching the X-Men cartoon

You could say that...

LOL!

If you could do a three way with Lex, that's a rare treat, but I'd go with just the two World's Finest anyday.

Exactly!!!!!!

And being the proud Canadian I am I had to go with Wolverine because I've loved him the longest.

I'm with you - I had a hard time as Batman has always been my number 1 - but my number 2-8 or so are the X-men (Storm being the top of that list).
But I figured I loved Batman first so I had to go that route.

Huh. I'm totally a Marvel girl (though I'm really non-discriminate in my comic reading habits). If you wanted a favourite character from the Marvel universe then it would have to be Gambit from X Men because, well, I'm amazingly easy. :D

I chose Johnny Nemo, however, whom I first met in Deadline (a Brit magazine, not the Marvel one) which is where I also first found Tank Girl, Wired World and numerous other insane comic strips.

Superman owned me way before Smallville came along.

I had to go with Marvel. I grew up with the X-men cartoon and reading a few of my aunt's comics. However, Batman is my favorite all time superhero. Other's like Superman or X-men, they have special powers that allow them to kick ass. Batman has nothing but himself and the toys he makes, so I always loved him best.

I was so close to choosing batman but that would have been the Dark Knight talking. I had to go with Marvel and my favorite wisecracking Arachnid. Been reading and watching since I was a kid, and Ultimate Spiderman brought me back to Comics. Though Bat's gaining. :D

Superman will always be my favourite though

Definitely, but I do actually mean it. As I can't stand superheroes Vertigo was a haven of smart-mouthed occulists and mystics. And Swamp Thing.

See, I know nothing about Iron Man. For the longest, wheneve I heard anything about that movie, I thought that they were making a live-action Iron Giant.

I really like Batman, Superman, Wolverine and others, but my true love is John Constantine. He's a bloody bastard, but I have loved him for 200 + issues. 20 years now!

I have to say it, I really dislike superman. Though I like smallville, just.. ya I dont like superman. there is reasoning behind it, I just am too scared of your flist to express much further :P

With that out of the way, I have to saw that I chose marvel because there is more creativity. More Characters for me to enjoy. But my favorite hero is definitly Batman.

It's Marvel all the way.
Ever since I first saw X-Men when I was about 6 or 7, I've found myself falling in love with that universe with the rich tapestry of all the characters, the way they all intermingle with each other.

As a child Rogue and Gambit were always my favourites, I felt a real sense of empathy with Rogue.
I was an outcast at school, I was treated like I didn't fit in, no-one wanted to come anywhere near me.
And she kind of had a similar thing going on, except she was admired and revered.
It's like I empathized with the fact she couldn't have any kind of real human contact because I never had it either.
As I've grown up, I've grown to favour Gambit over Rogue because I wasn't keen on her protrayal in the movies.
And because Gambit is one sexy cartoon, mmmm.
However, I still absolutely love the pair of them.

But yes, it's definitely Marvel for me.

Oh! I told Hubby about your poll! Before I was even done asking his opinion he spouted out "DC, Superman". If you knew my Hubby that was an obvious answer. Plus we grew up with Chris Reeve!

Hee! I told Hubby some of the responses you were getting. He was impressed (he thinks my online stuff is a bit odd, in a good way, but still odd). Plus he's the bigger Superhero fan between the two of us, so I knew he would enjoy your poll.
