The new adapter arrived and does exactly the same thing that the other one did

I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!

So, I'm going to speak to our guy at work and see if he will consider swapping my new one for the old one he loaned me that works perfectly. The specs are exactly the same which is why I'm confused.

I hope I hear something about this job soon so I can get a new laptop that isn't insane.

perhaps its the connector you plug the adapter in thats in yer laptop. it could be causing a short. OR. its yer laptop itself.

Maybe the Ebay one isn't compatible even though it says it is. My Compaqs are very fussy about the parts you use in them. If you don't get Compaq parts, things get weird. Maybe your laptop's the same way.

Well, I've tried two different ones from ebay now with the same result. The adapter I'm using at the moment isn't even for a laptop but it works. LOL!

Technology is strange
