Almost as soon as I got in this morning my boss's boss told me to put a claim form in for the £80.

WHEE!

That is such a weight off my mind! I put the form in the post this morning so I should get the money by the end of next week, which hopefully means I don't need to miss any driving lessons

Incidentally, I found a really good on-line deal for the hotel you stayed at in Milton Keynes this time, should I decide to go in September. It's for B&B and only costs a little more than the Travelodge of awfulness cost me this time room only! It's through the same company that got me the ridiculously cheap hotel in Las Vegas. Yay!

You have to pick the country and then the city you want, but when I put in the September dates for Milton Keynes the Ramada Encore was the first hotel that came up. The Thursday night is more expensive, but I don't think I'd go up there until the Friday anyway. I'm sure they'd get Michael for the whole weekend if possible. And the price for the twin room (for two people) includes the English buffet breakfast that the hotel charges £9 per person for. The only downside is having to charge your credit card when you book, but you can cancel for a full refund any time up to 4 days beforehand if you decide not to go.

Ah, ok. I can't afford to do that really since I won't have the money until just before I get there (I have a trip to Cardiff and another one to Stratford Upon Avon to save for first)

I used laterooms.com when I booked last time. Breakfast wasn't included but I'm happy to get something in the centre. If Michael comes I'll be heading out insanely early anyway
