I watched two episodes of Hotel Babylon tonight and they were both about food in one way or another

I have started trying to diet propely again now and clearly I am doing it wrong. I have replaced crisps with Snack-a-jacks and chocolate with fruit and by about 3pm I'm bloody starving! Why is healthy food so much less filling than nice food? *pouts*

Either I'm going to have to change what I eat or just wait for my body to get used to less calories.

Bah! I want a pizza! LOL!

Take up smoking, then quit - and claim you're eating to deal with cravings. Guilt free... because it's for a healthier cause lol

I don't even eat crisps, or drink sugary fizzy drinks (and I don't really eat nearly as much cake as my LJ may occasionally suggest). And yet I am approximately the shape of a walrus.

I suppose as long as I don't smell like one, I'm ahead of the game.

It's so hard to know what to eat and what not to eat. Everyone says different things. I think my diet is ok though. I've just tried to cut out some of the fat and sugar

It's so hard isn't it! No matter what you do there always seems to be something that's wrong :(

Everyone should be assigned a personal nutritionist to plan and prepare all their meals

One good idea is to talk to a dietitian, because different things work for different people.

And the most important thing isn't what the scale says, but how you feel about yourself. :-)

There is a certain psychological factor when you diet at first where suddenly all you think about is food.

I've found the same thing. Unhealthy food is filling and healthy makes me hungry.

I've heard theories about not eating enough protein and fat will make you feel more hungry. The protein thing is true for me. Eating carbs doesn't fill me up.

When I was on Weight Watchers (which I really should do again) they said nothing was off limits, but you had to plan around things like cake or sweets. That did help because you weren't constantly denying yourself the things you like.

I was going to add the health bit...I mean, you have to feel as good as possible physically, too.

Because I'm on the contraceptive pill I am more prone to problems with blod clots. The heavier I am the greater the risk.

Last time I visited my blood pressure was up slightly. It could be because I rushed to get there or it could be because of my weight. I just want to try and shed a few pounds before I go back for a check-up next month.

I'm not huge or anything, just a little overweight.

Ah, yes. I remeember that from when I was on them (not that they helped much with my problem).

Well, using more than you take in is a good idea in that case.

I don't feel huge, but according to the charts I am. And I'm having a very hard time to get back to a better weight for me, and so it bugs me with all this fixation around weight, you know?

I've had doctors hassling me about my weight, but when I asked them to help me lose some weight they backed off...wasn't as easy as they thought it'd be. *eg*

When I was more serious about being on WW, I ate a lot of popcorn and cereal for snacks. I'd get cereals that were low calorie but tasted ok without milk and I'd munch on them when I was watching TV or bored at work.

I've been munching on whole grain crackers (they taste like buttered toast) and cheerios. They weren't bad at the beginning of the week, but I'm getting sick of them by now. I want chocolate! LOL
