Ok, can someone explain what the point of this episode actually was? Because, really. NOTHING HAPPENED!!!

I mean Oliver showed up and was all cool. They introduced Black Canary, which was cute, but what else?

Lana was in glasses for NO REASON!!!

Lois, and in fact no one but Lionel seemed to care about the brutal murder of poor Grant/Julian. I really expected more to be made of that.

Lois apparently can't handle dating someone with a double life which seems to send her further away from Clark. Although the hug at the end was cute. I don't get what the point of it was though. I liked the reference to the first Superman movie though

And what was with that Clana scene at the end. Lana says she's committed to her relationship with Clark. Clark says he isn't and that he doesn't know what their future is. I rejoice with the thought that he is FINALLY going to break up with her. THEN he says he's not ready to give up on them. WHAT???!!

Seriously, this has to be the most pointless episode ever.

Edit: Actually, there was one very important point to this episode. Lex with two guns = hottest thing EVER!!!!

Edit (again): I know I said this last week but I seriously have no idea what to write for my snippet for this. It has left me just feeling totally blank.

Someone interviewed Erica Durance and she said that Lois doesn't know. They've covered it up. She thinks that he just left town. :\

*sputters* Nothing happened?! LOL! Actually, I know what you mean. It's true that nothing changed, but I feel like there were some emotional milestones, and we gained a greater understanding of the characters and relationships on the show.

Clark saw Lana clearly for the first time in his life and called her on her crap. Nothing he said at the end takes that away, I don't think. And as you say, he made no commitment. He's loyal, he's compassionate, and he was softened up by what Lois said about how hard it is to love someone with a bigger destiny than your own. Plus I think he still feels guilty about Lana (not that he should, but he does, because he inadvertently traded Jonathan's life for hers, and abandoning her would make that worthless). So he's not ready to turn his back on her, but he's not saying he'll love her forever either. She's on the way out. *nods*

I think we got confirmation that Lana still doesn't think she did anything wrong, both from her pissy attitude in the kitchen scene at the top of the show, and the things she said to Clark during their argument. Yes, she's unbelievable.

Lois definitively said no to Ollie. That chapter is finished, whereas before it was circumstances that were keeping them apart (his GA activities took him out of town, and he had to keep them a secret from her). Some people think her whole deal with not being able to be with a superhero is just an ironic anvil, and others think it proves that Chlois will happen. *shrugs*

Recent episodes have had people panicking that Chloe was on the way out. Lois was taking over her reporter role, and Lana seemed to be Clark's new sidekick, complete with instantly acquired hacking skills. This episode seemed to put those fears to rest. Clark and Chloe are still a team, and he isn't about to let Ollie steal her away.

Supposedly Lois doesn't know Grant is dead. Only Lex, Lionel, and now Lana do.
