I've noticed something while I'm making my Torchwood icons. Spoilers for Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang below the cut




She seems to affect these extremely wide doe eyes whenever she's around Jack. It was less annoying in Season 1 when everything was new to her but it's irritating now

That and she told Jack was only marrying Rhys because 'no one else will have me' Uh, that is not a reason to get married. Plus, didn't she decide at the end of Season 1 that she actually loved Rys, you know after he got brutally murdered and all.

Frankly I'm more irritated by the fact that she still hasn't calmed down with the mascara...

Maybe that's why her eyes are so wide, she's worried the mascara will make them stick shut if she blinks

It's possible the mascara is what actually glues them that far open.

I've always been irritated by Gwen's eyes. Along with quite a few other aspects of her.

I like her.

I doubt that's really why she's marrying Rhys, but she's not exactly enthralled with him either. Hence the affair with *eep* Owen.

The brutally murdered thing pushed the emotions up more than a notch. I'm sure she thinks she should love him, and in a way does.

I know a lot of people who are polyamorous. This show is like the poster child for it.

partially because I don't really like Gwen...but the gap in her front teeth bothers me, even more than the massive amounts of mascara. Yes, petty. I will go back to my hole now.

The "no-one else will have me" comment was (I reckon) one of those comments where it was meant to be sarcastic, belittling Jack, but ended up coming out all wrong because she is still rather into Jack and potentially his reappearance has put a crack into what obviously seemed a picture-perfect progression with Rhys since she saw him dead.

I actually liked this scene because it was classic dialogue where both the speakers lose the point of what they were saying. The Jack & Ianto scene had the same elements - neither person really sure what was going on in the others mind and both to a degree working at cross purposes. I love that Ianto doesn't know that there are no "rules of engagement".

Hee! It's funny but within five minutes of this episode starting I said to Jacqui 'I wish Gwen would fix her teeth. Surely Torchwood has a dental plan' ;)

I liked the Jack/Ianto scene a whole lot more than the Jack/Gwen scene *g*
