I can't quite decide what to make of this episode. There were bits of it I liked (Sam being groped by the old woman and Bella's suggestion of angry sex with Dean) but overall I just felt kind of blah about it.

I guess because the episode was mostly about Bella and I didn't really feel that I was any closer to understanding her at the end of the episode than I was at the beginning.

Weird seeing the woman playing Gert again. She was in Desperate Housewives a couple of weeks ago and I thought I recognised her then but even after looking on IMDB I still can't think where I know her from. Maybe she just looks like someone else.

We were watching "Practical Magic" yesterday and the lady who played Gert was in that, too. I love that movie so that would explain why I recognized her in that Supernatural ep (which I LOVED, too).

I thought I recognised Gert too, but I've never seen DH.

Apparently there were direction problems with this ep, which might explain why it wasn't as tight as it should have been. I still got a few good laughs though.

As I said to paratti, I could happily do Bela in with a brick. It's that awful RP accent (which occasionally slips, I noticed). Having said that, maybe the accent is right for the character, because if she's playing all these rich old ladies, that's what they would expect her to sound like.

Hee! Yeah, I ranted about her accent in the first episode she appeared in. Good point about her using it for the old ladies though.

I think I'd have enjoyed it more if there had been a little bit more about her but I guess stringing it out is kind of the point. So long as we find out her story eventually

I dare say we will, but I don't really care. She's not the worst English characterisation I've seen. I was expected her to be bad, but I'd hoped she would surprise me.

I did enjoy the boys dressed up, I'm shallow that way. I also loved the way Dean hyperventilated when his car went missing. Over the top, but hilarious nonetheless. hee!

I thought the special effects were cool in this one. I have this irrational fear of drowning, though, so it probably just hit a chord with me.

Since we don't really know Bela's backstory yet, I keep hoping we'll find out the accent is fake and then she can drop it. Do you suppose that was her real accent when she was pretending to be an American journalist with the brother? I don't mind Bela, though. So far I've enjoyed watching the boys tussle with her. I'm notoriously easy, however.
