I've been looking on the Smallville wiki for the name of the woods used in the show. Apparently it's Burnham Woods

Didn't they nick that from Macbeth? Seems remarkable intelligent for the Smallville writers ;)

I'm so going to hate myself for saying this...

In some over arching view of the series, there is actually a certain Shakespearian quality to it all, especially Macbeth. Obviously, I mean that in an entirely general way - and would never even come close to accusing a TV producer/writer/director to being anywhere close to the brilliance of Shakespeare himself (to whom I attribute the title of Greatest English Language Writer of all time, and master of the living stage).

It's Birnam Wood (or Forest) in Macbeth, FWIW.

Same name, different spelling. I still think they ripped it off ;)

I don't disagree. It just probably means they didn't bother to check.
