Had an absolutely insanely busy day at work yesterday. One of those days where I had my 'lunch' at 4pm when I finished. Not fun.

Things are better today, though, which is good.

Not much else going on in the real world. We're back in lockdown, which changes pretty much nothing for me since I've basically been living in lockdown since March. I go out twice a week to mail things for work and stock up on groceries and that's it.

I continue to be immensely grateful for Zoom and fandom for keeping me sane for the past 9 months. I don't know where I'd be without group watches, flailing on Twitter, and writing fic.

Speaking of fic I have finally made progress with my [community profile] sundial_exchange fic! It's actually flowing really nicely now I've got over the initial hump of actually starting it. And, thanks to the comm, I have a beta lined up already. We've been chatting on Discord and sharing ideas which is also helping a lot. YAY!

I started watching My Unicorn Girl on Monday which is not what I expected at all. It was pitched to me as She's The Man only with hockey instead of football. What I've actually got is She's The Man with hockey instead of football, but also Just My Luck. I've only watched the first episode but it's pretty cute. I definitely needed something modern and silly after 60 episodes of Love and Redemption followed by 50 episodes of Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty.

And our tomb raiding shenanigans continue. We've started Sha Hai and it's...actually good? It's a lot darker and more adult than the other tomb shows we've watched but this Wu Xie is fantastic. It's fascinating watching him have to be the responsible adult because the other members of the Iron Triangle aren't around. It actually one of those shows that I would be binging if I wasn't watching with other people. Every episode seems to end on a really compelling cliffhanger.

One of my Twitter friends popped into the group watch just to see what all the tomb nonsense was about and she is now hooked. "I NEED TO KNOW THAT LI CU IS GOING TO BE OKAY!"

This is what happens. I am legit going to be sad when we run out of tomb shows to watch. We've been watching them every weekend since whenever the first season of Reboot started.

K: What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?
Ooh, that's a good question and I'm trying to think now. I think probably Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Love how he went from antagonist that was supposed to be killed off after a few episodes to reluctant member of the Scooby Gang to deliberately fighting to get his soul back.

I've decided, as a way to try and be more active on here, to sign up for [community profile] snowflake_challenge. It sounds like a nice, stress free way of getting involved in more fandom shenanigans. I'm a bit behind but I'm going to try and catch up this week.

So, without further ado: Challenge 1 - In your own space, introduce yourself! Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I'm actually going to cheat here because I wrote up a long intro post to make a sticky on my blog a couple of weeks ago.

So, here's a link: All About Hils
