Oops fallen a bit behind with this whole checking in every day thing :(
My sister came to visit last weekend. She's recently discovered Jane Austen and after having read Pride and Prejudice we thought it would be fun to have a day of Jane Austen movies. So we went shopping for picnic foodstuffs and had an indoor picnic while we watched Emma (Gwyneth Patrow version), Sense and Sensibility (Emma Thompson version), Mansfield Park (Frances O'Connor version) and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Much fun was had. Flick enjoyed Emma the most which is understandable. It's very sweet and lovely with minimal drama.
In hockey road trip news we have randomly added another game to our itinerary. Okay, not entirely random. Beau Bennett was being a sweetheart on Twitter yesterday and one of my travel companions pointed out we'd be going through New Jersey on the way home and there happened to be a game on. So we're going to go and cheer for former Pens Beau and Lovejoy :D
Speaking of the road trip I need to get some boots to protect my fragile British toes from the cold. I've narrowed it down to these or these. The first ones are probably more practical but I'm more likely to wear the other ones beyond the trip making them better value for money.
IDK I shall ponder.
