Is it next week yet?

Work is kicking my ass this week. It just seesm to be particularly busy at the moment. No real reason why I don't think but I am looking forward to (yet more) time off next week.

I'm feeling a bit weird about the Hannibal con. I'm sure I'll have fun when I get there and I'm looking forward to spending time with all my friends but it's one of those things where, although I love the show, I've never really been involved in the fandom side of things. I've just bought a Making of Hannibal book so I have something to get signed but I don't really have anything fandomy to wear. I haven't even had time to make a flower crown :(

But I'm sure it'll be fun when I get there, and I'm really looking forward to seeing In The Heights the day before the con starts :D

It's 4 months away yet but we have already started making preparations for the hockey road trip in January. tiptoe39 has kindly offered to let us stay with her while we're there and had also treated us to tickets to the Caps vs Canes game. They're good seats too! This is approx where we'll be sitting



So now I just need to be really good for the next few months and not buy anything that isn't essential. Luckily after the Hannibal con this weekend I don't really have much in the way of plans so that should help quell my urge to spend money :D

Did some more work on my fic last night and have now passed the 22k mark. I'm still hoping to get it posted before the season proper starts but we'll see how it goes. I'm getting close to the end now at least.
