"What do I do?” Steve appealed into the phone. “I’m freaking out.”
There was silence on the other end of the line. It lasted so long that Steve pulled the receiver away from his ear and frowned at it. Pay phones were old. Maybe this one wasn’t working despite the obvious dial tone when he picked up.
“Ok,” a stranger’s voice said over the phone. “First acknowledge the fact that you dialed the wrong number, but be quick about it because my cab is a few blocks away from my own plans and I’m about to drop some truth bombs on you.”
Both of these fics are adorable!

Oh God, she was probably someone's wife or mother or something and he'd just made things ten times more awkward and – "Oh, I didn't mean – I mean, I didn't mean it like that, I just thought –"
Then a large, masculine, warm hand slid into his, and a low, very male voice said: "Nat, you love new friends, don't be rude."
"James, really?"
"Yes, really." The hand in Steve's gently tugged. "C'mon, I'll buy you a coffee; you can be friends with me instead."
And another really adorable one. I have missed reading about these two
Make Up Words to Songs You Used to Know by non_sequential
Steve is incredibly, inexpressibly grateful to have Bucky back. He is. There is no amount of nightmares, of rage, of grief and alcohol-fuelled fights that can make him anything less than absolutely humbled by the wonder of having Bucky in his life again after losing him, after living without him for three excruciating years.
But.
It’s so selfish he’s a little disgusted with himself. He’s got what’s as close as dammit to a bona fide miracle — and still, every now and then, in the darkest recesses of his mind, he’s not satisfied.
A great fic about Steve and Bucky working out their feelings post-Winter Soldier
Phil/Clint (MCU)
Hello, Friend (The Best Two Words to Begin) by desert_neon
Phil Coulson is an ordinary man with an ordinary job. He is a single parent with two daughters, Daisy, 17, and Maggie, 5. Every Saturday, Phil takes Maggie to story time at the local branch of the New York Public Library. When Clint Barton starts volunteering as an ASL interpreter for the program (and brings his son along with him), Maggie becomes fascinated with the language and Phil becomes fascinated with the man.
I’m not normally a fan of kidfic but this is so precious!
Will/Hannibal (Hannibal)
The Monster, Waking by oatrevolution
Hannibal is living the dream life. (The dream life is a life with Will Graham.) But Will has been quiet and withdrawn, still drowning a little in the frigid Atlantic, and Hannibal is bent on figuring out a way to draw him out of his shell, whether that be by an exercise regimen, cooking lessons, some books, or a dash of murder. He's flexible.
And anyway, watching Will do any of those things is something Hannibal would actually pay to do.
I am always so blown away by fics that capture the tone of the show so perfectly and this is a prime example
