I'm almost scared to post about this given the recent trend of bad things happening when I tell people good news but I have to talk about this.
I might have had a run of really bad luck in the past couple of weeks but what I haven't been lacking is amazing people around me. Seriously, you guys have been so wonderful and supportive and everyone's been really eager to help.
Yesterday
jacqui_hw bought me some flowers to cheer me up and
flickums bought me Sherlock on DVD.
It really was such a wonderful feeling just knowing that people cared.
But it didn't stop there.
This afternoon when I woke up after my night shift I had an email that I had to read several times to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding.
My friends and colleagues at Random Acts, after hearing about what happened, had a collection amongst themselves and gathered enough to cover the cost of my stolen phone. I'm still kind of in shock. Some of these people I've only known for 5 weeks yet they all happily chipped in.
I'm not going to lie when I read the email I sat there for about five minutes and cried. I just don't know what I've done to deserve such an amazing and generous group of people.
