This Long Silence by
dugindeep
Jensen serves as the young sheriff of Morgan Falls, a town in the middle of nowhere that never has much happen. Until the residents start to turn, becoming violent and attacking one another. While trying to manage the chaos, Jensen is concerned with tracking down his neighbor, Jared, who's been hauled out of town with others in the quarantine. As Jensen becomes more desperate, those around him are clueless to his obsession, and he begins to recall how he and Jared became so close. Their sleepy town will never be the same, nor will Jensen and Jared.
I'm not familiar with the movie this is based on but I loved the fic! Really enjoyable and well crafted story.
Castiel/Gabriel
With Our Destinies Entwined by
morganoconner
Two years have passed, and Gabriel still lies dead, his grace scattered, his wings turned to ash. Above him, newly victorious in a war he never wanted to fight, Castiel stands, finally willing and able to do whatever it takes to bring Gabriel back.
The key lies in his memories, in acknowledging the bonds of friendship and brotherhood and so much more that were forged between them on a battlefield hundreds of lifetimes ago. Bonds that were later shattered, giving way to a life filled with solitude and bitterness and sorrow. If Castiel wants Gabriel back, he must relive all of it. And he must pray that afterwards, there can finally be forgiveness and healing between them.
Once again this author has managed to sell me on a pairing I never thought I'd like. Absolutely beautifully written story that really made me feel for both the characters.
