FYI my first attempt at the subject of this post said 'whirls like a dalish' until I realised my error. Guess who has been playing too much Dragon Age 2?
So, hello LJ!
I'm on a break from work at the moment and it's glorious. Been off since last Wednesday and I'm not back until next Thursday. Then I have 3 shifts to do and then it's OFF TO NASHVILLE!
I've reached the panic stage of planning for this trip now. Seriously, it seems to have come up so fast and I still have loads to do. Good thing I'm off work at the moment. So yesterday I went out and bought myself a new suitcase. Was saddened to find that my favourite luggage shop has now closed but I did get a lovely red one for half price so I say...jackpot.
Now I just need stuff to go in it. LOL.
Am heading into town after lunch armed with an epic shopping list. Hopefully by the time I get done all I will have left to get is some new clothes. Foolishly I am leaving the clothes shopping until the last minute as the training I am doing for my 5k run is affecting my weight and I want stuff that fits properly.
I had intended to spend my time off writing but so far it hasn't really happened. I've been sucked into Dragon Age 2 which has just devoured my time. LOL. Luckily I am heading to my parents this evening and will be there for a week so hopefully the lack of PS3 will mean I can get some fic done. I have a finale-speculation fic that I want to get posted before Friday.
Apart from that I had realised, quite sadly, that I have turned into one of those people who gets depressed if they don't have work to do. I had loads of fun doing my Jensen blogathon and after that I just sort of fell into a fandom slump. I was seeing negativity everywhere and people acting like assholes and I really had to bite my tongue to stop myself from posting a big rant about it.
But all is well again. A couple of people asked me to help them out with stuff last night and as soon as I had stuff to do I felt all energised again. I wound up working until about 2am and I loved every second of it. This is why I could never quit fandom. I love it too much and get too much of a buzz from it to quit.
