Egads I am way behind on LJ again. Just had a quick cram of the last 2 days worth of entries but it's possible I missed something of import. Sorry :(
Things are pretty insane at the moment. I've just had word that Dan and I are being seperated as a shift team to make way for a new guy we've got starting with us. Instead I will be working with Matt. He's the Smallville fan I was working with the other week when everything went wrong. Clearly it was a baptism by fire and we passed. Even though Matt and I are the newest people on the team we've apparently proved ourselves and are trusted to work together despite having the least experience.
I know this is awesome that after 3 months I'm being trusted to manage a shift team but it's also SCARY. Why did I have to be so good at my job? LOL. There's people who have been here longer than me who are being kept with more experienced people.
So it'll either go really well or it'll be a disaster. Hopefully the former. I imagine we'll be under close scrutiny for at least the first few weeks to see how we get on.
I think my fandom involvement is going to change in the near future. I'm really struggling to find the energy or motivation to write. I will definitely finish my Queensland fic and my DC Everafter but after that I think I may be going on hiatus. I've got some other stuff going on which is going to eat up my limited free time (in a good way) so I have to make decisions on what I let slip. I may do the odd thing here or there but I'm not going to commit to anything major. This, sadly, means I won't be writing my DCBB fic this year.
It's good though. I've got exciting things happening which I'll talk about at a later point and I'm not bowing out of fandom entirely. Just changing where I focus my energies.
How are you guys anyway? I feel like I'm neglecting you in favour of Twitter.
Oh, and I have recently discovered the joys of Skype. Anyone got an account?
