RL shenanigans

Happy December everyone. I don't have an advent calendar but maybe I'll post a picture of Misha every day and make my LJ an advent calendar. LOL. I'm tired and don't even know what I'm talking about

It's amazing how many more RL posts I'm doing now that I'm working. LOL. I'll try to fit in some fandom squee at the weekend.

So, we have epic amounts of snow. Today we had blizzards so all the buses got cancelled. Unfortunately this didn't happen until I was already at work. My boss was trying to organise a car pool so everyone could get home but luckily the buses came back on before I had to leave.

I'm thinking I'll skip the Christmas party tomorrow. It's nice that I was invited but I really don't know anyone that well yet and it's just too much hassle navigating the snow.

The major downside of working again is I have less time to work on my fic. I've been trying to edit my deancas_xmas fic this week and I'm just too tired to work on it when I get home. I literally get in, have dinner, check LJ and then it's bedtime. Luckily the kind and generous mods (*grovel grovel*) have granted me an extension so I can work on it at the weekend.

Speaking of the weekend Dave was supposed to be coming up for a ghost story reading that happens the first weekend of December every year. I went with him last year and it was pretty awesome. Everyone there reads an original ghost story that they've written. Sadly it has just been cancelled because of the weather and it looks like he won't be visiting at all now.

Seriously, this snow is insane. I dug my car out on Monday and it's completely covered again now. I don't think I could drive in even if I wanted to! I'll take some pics tomorrow.

And now it's nearly bedtime again.
