Going into serious mode for a moment but I promise Chicon shenanigans tomorrow including videos of a lot of the J2M panel from today.

Random Acts is in need of a regional representative for the US. There is someone doing the job at the moment but she's moving into another role within the organisation so they need someone to take over.

I know I have an awesome and experienced flist so I thought I'd put it out there in case any of you want to apply.

You can find info here but if you want to know more let me know and I can probably put you in touch with with the person doing the job now (at the very least I am good friends with the UK rep and can put you in touch with her).

I've had a really great time hanging out with Lisa this weekend and when she wasn't hyperventilating about Mark Sheppard we talked a fair bit about Random Acts. There are exciting things coming.

And I want to second the request for new acts. You're a creative bunch and I know you can think of great things to do for this. Go here for more info

Jensen/Misha
Reconciling Hollywood by [livejournal.com profile] qthelights
Misha has always prided himself on his mastery of the first impression - both giving and receiving. After all, people are easy enough to read if examined through the appropriate lens. For the last two years he's stuck to his guns and his assumption that Jensen is just a good guy who made a dick mistake back when he thought Misha was disposable. Pushed him up against a trailer door and took because he could. But now, with Jared overseas with his new bride, Jensen around more than ever, and a decision weighing heavy on his conscience, Misha realizes that truly knowing Jensen might be nearly as impossible as knowing himself.
Okay, I knew I was going to love this before I even read it because I love all of Q's fics. But it still blew me away. She always manages to write characters who feel so real and raw that sometimes I feel uncomfortable reading them - in a good way though. This was a fantastic read!

Dean/Castiel
Aschenflügel by [livejournal.com profile] liadan14
Loosely based on Grimm’s Cinderella. Once upon a time, a merchant’s wife gave birth to a little boy named Castiel, who was perfect in all ways, right down to the beautiful black wings sprouting out of his back. However, in a country still fighting the phobia of human-to-animal shapeshifters, not everyone agrees, and when his mother dies, Castiel is left at the hands of his stepfather Zachariah, who doesn’t condone non-human traits despite being part-bird himself. And then there’s Dean, the only friend Castiel has in the world, who thinks Castiel’s wings are awesome, but is hiding a few problems of his own.
I love a good fairy tale AU and this was wonderful. Not an exact re-telling of Cinderella and everyone is perfectly in character so you really understand why Castiel puts up with being treated the way he is. I loved it!
