These are from [livejournal.com profile] flickums

Top 5 female characters in films.
1. Sarah Connor - She will always be my #1. I love watching the journey she goes on from hapless waitress to total BAMF. I actually think the character of John Winchester was somewhat based on Sarah. Yes, her parenting skills don't seem great but she does love her son more than anything and all she wants is to keep him safe. Plus, did I mention she's a BAMF?
2. Ellen Ripley - You may be seeing a theme here. I like kickass women.
3. Eowyn - 'I am no man' actually made me cheer in the cinema it was that awesome. The thing I love about Eowyn is that she's practical and pragmatic but still very much a woman. Often screenwriters think that writing strong female characters means turning them into a man. Doesn't need to be the case
4. Belle - Okay, so my love of female characters don't just extend to kicking ass and taking names. Belle is intelligent, resourceful, caring and overall just awesome.
5. Buffy Summers - Say what you want about the Buffy movie (personally I love it) but it established the character that went on to be awesome in the TV series. Yes, I clearly have a thing for kickass girls. This probably makes me a bad person for not taking intelligence more into account. Sorry.

Top 5 films that we loved together as kids.
1. Flight of Dragons
2. Ben and Me
3. Labyrinth
4. Sleeping Beauty
5. Three Amigos

Top 5 fictional characters that have inspired you.
1. Spike - Spike is the character that first got me wanting to write fanfic. Had this whole unexplored back story which was fun to play with and I loved exploring the relationship he had with Slayers and Buffy in particular (that was back before they had any sort of relationship to speak of)
2. James Norrington - I only actually wrote one Sparrington story. It was my first real forray into slash but again there was just something about the character I wanted to explore. And, weirdly, my version of James wound up becoming canon for the second film so I must have really got into his head
3. Lex Luthor - Never in a million years did I imagine I would find myself sympathising and supporting Lex Luthor. I think it's just testament to Michael's performance that I would have ditched Smallville after the first few episodes if he hadn't done such amazing things with the character. It's quite an accomplishment when you find yourself rooting for the villain rather than the hero
4. Castiel - Again I think a lot of this is credit to Misha for taking what could have been an emotionless two-dimensional character and making him really interesting. It's fascinating seeing someone as old and knowledgeable as Castiel so totally out of his depth around Sam and Dean and their humanity
5. Anne Shirley - Anne was the first fictional character that ever really spoke to me, mainly because we were so alike. She taught me that being smart and enjoying reading was nothing to be ashamed of, and neither was having a vivid imagination
