Three years after Supernatural ends, Jared and Jensen find themselves divorced and needing each other more than ever. Jensen wakes up to discover that he’s been in love with his best friend for ten years, but changing their relationship from friends to lovers proves easier said than done.
When I commented that I was surprised at the lack of non-AU J2 in this year's big bang I was told it was because every possible scenario has already been written. What this fic has made me realise is that I don't care. I've read dozens of 'Jared and Jensen live together and realise they have feeling for each other' fics but there's always little subtle differences that, to me, make them interesting. This one is no exception. I absolutely loved it

It's all part of being a good-hearted barbarian. Then his carefree life is shaken up by the introduction of a scrawny half-elf wizard called Jensen, who joins them for a quest upon which they will encounter horror, true friendship, and a secret buried deep underground...
This is the big bang I've been looking forward to most and it didn't disappoint. It's funny, and exciting and reads like the d&d books I used to read when I was a teenager. You definitely don't need to be familiar with d&d to read this though. Be sure to check out the art too. It's fantastic. I may have a wee crush on cleric!Misha

If Dean can survive telling God about his intentions for His son and the inevitable ribbing from Sam, he should be able to survive two weeks without losing Castiel. Dean is not known for his luck with relationships.
Sometimes you just need to read a bit of schmoop. This had bucketloads of it but it made me smile a lot. It's adorable and funny.

I am not dead!

I've realised that recently all I seem to be posting are stupid pics and videos or fic recs. So here's a post with a bit of substance.

First of all I have a question. If you had to rec just one SPN fic as your absolute favourite what would it be? Yes, I will even read wincest in this instance.

The other thing is I was chatting with kaylbunny about getting fannish around other fans. I'm sure you know I find the whole BNF phenomenon fascinating but while I can admire the skill of a good writer or artist I don't think I'd flail at them if I met them in person. We're all fans, right?

Am I the only one who feels like that? Do you have fans you get fannish over?

Don't get me wrong I am ridic excited about Chicon and meeting my #TeamAssbutt girls but they're people I know and talk with (albeit through Twitter) on a daily basis. I'm talking about flailing over other fans that you don't know on a personal level.

So, there's this guy. He's been a thorn in my side for literally years now and I can't work out whether he's a troll, mentally ill or just an annoying asshole.

He's been following my Buffy/Spike site since I set it up in 2000 and every couple of months he'll either e mail my updates yahoogroup or e mail me personally asking when the site (and one series in particular) is going to be updated. I've told him many times that I don't write Buffy fics any more and that the site is just being maintained now and not updated but still he persists.

I don't know what to do really. It's getting really bloody annoying. I could block his e mail and remove him from the group but my e mail addy (it's not my main one so I only check it once a day) is on the site so he can easily mail me using a different account.
